Lonely Moan is a compilation demo-reel captured in 4K resolution for a work-in-progress documentary about the John Glanton led gang of Government hired scalp-hunters who drifted, sacked, and arbitrarily murdered along the Old Mexico border in the 1849.
Emphatically inspired by the world of Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian, Lonely Moan examines Samuel Chamberlain’s long-challenged memoir, My Confession, based on Chamberlain’s professed firsthand accounts while serving under Glanton as a rogue operative during the Mexican-American War.
Lonely Moan is being photographed with the Red ONE Digital Cinema Camera and fitted with traditional 35mm Zeiss and Angenieux cinema lenses. Select segments are captured with a set of 1930’s era Cooke cine lenses that have been modified and adapted to work with the Red ONE.
