CAMEL, with guitarist extraordinaire Andrew Latimer, live in concert with an incredible performance of "Long Goodbyes" from the album Stationary Traveler. While the video is corny and I wish they had simply shown the live performance in its entirety -- and left out the romancing couple altogether -- the lead guitar at the end is one of the most powerful and passionately beautiful lead guitar passages in rock. (Well, in my totally unbiased and unopinionated opinion.) There is a fake ending and they come back for part two -- amazing playing and pure Andy Latimer. Colin Bass is on the fretless bass and vocals. Ton Scherpenzeel (of Dutch prog group Kayak) is one of the keyboardists, Chris Rainbow (of Alan Parsons Project) is another keyboardist and the one singing, off in the back is Peter Bardens (original Camel founding member who left to play with Van Morrison in the 80s) who joins the band for this show also guesting on keys. Paul Burgess (also of Alan Parsons Project) is on drums and races to the tympanis for the final chord. The crowd goes nuts at the end. But hey, it's rock and roll and we wouldn't have it any other way, would we? ;o) [
