Lies & Illusions title sequence

North by Northwest Productions was hired to create this title sequence for the Christian Slater film, "Lies & Illusions". We were asked to give it a spy thriller feel in a style similar to "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", and to incorporate main plot lines without being too literal. The music was created by Stephen Edwards and a scratch track was used to time the animation. The piece was created using Adobe After Effects, Photoshop & Illustrator. I particularly enjoyed the challenge of coming up with storyboards and designing interesting transitions between scenes. Film titles carry certain legal requirements (how long the person's name remains on the screen, the relative size of the name compared to others, etc.) that were also used as guidelines.
