HDV Video lagging on capture to FCP
by matt peberdy
Hi

An issue here that I have failed to come across on the forum so far. If anyone has come across this I would love to know their resolution!

Issue:

Shot a few hours of HDV 1080i50 on the Sony Z1e. All okay on the tapes, smooth playback on the camera, and HVR-M10 deck lcd.

Capture to FCP -tried all these-( HDV 1080i codec, Apple ProRes, Apple Intermediate). Play back the quicktime files captured, and there is lag/stutter. Try the same thing on my older G5, the stutter is REALLY bad!

Capturing to internal hard drive....

*MacBookPro,Intel Core 2 Duo, Processor Speed: 2.6 GHz Memory:4 GB, Bus Speed:800 MHz, GeForce 8600M GT
FCP 6.0.5 )
