Thank you for taking the time to review my reel. I am a film and video editor, director and producer of 9 years. In 2007 a music documentary that I created, directed and edited, Rock N Roll Safari, broadcasted on PBS as an 8 part series and was nominated for an Emmy in the Advanced Media category. As the creator of this series I worked closely with BBDO and Dodge to create a multi-platform, marketing campaign that involved product placement opportunities on PBS and on our website, canyouhearme.tv. Since then, my work experience has been diverse. I recently finished editing and producing a feature length music documentary about an 80-year-old piano player called Boogie Stomp. I worked as a producer and assistant editor on another feature length documentary about education in America called Bridging the Gap. I have produced and edited a commercial for clients like Pulte homes, Oakwood Hospital, American Express, Coney Island and The Red Cross for television and Internet broadcast and even for events like the Super-bowl. I have cut a race series for the Speed channel and I have run my own post-house cutting several commercials for local businesses. I have 9 years of experience as an editor and 9 years of production and direction experience in the documentary and commercial world. I have amassed a crew that hails from Detroit and Los Angeles that includes union and non-union DP’s, A.D’s, art directors, sound, makeup and wardrobe. I have also worked for 10 years as a contract producer and road manager for an Automotive marketing firm called AMCI. I graduated with a degree in English with a focus in creative, non-fiction writing and I’m also a singer & songwriter, so I am well versed in the art of storytelling. Samples of my commercial and documentary work, my album and referrals are available upon request.
