SHORT hand held HD camera positioner, with 2 to 20 pound (1 to 9 KG) payload capacity, supporting Canon Canon 5D MkII w/ Canon 24-105 mm lens. Payload range includes Sony F3, 2/3 inch format HD cameras, DSLR products, RED Epic, etc. Full frame cinema camera support.
The FP3 is configurable from a few feet in length to "longer than you can hold." It allows freedom of camera path in a hand held platform, changing Point-Of-View shooting to Path-Of-VIew shooting.
This video is a mix of the first few weeks of operation, shot almost entirely with a Canon 5D MkII, late summer early Fall 2010. The woman walking with the cell phone at the end of this reel was stabilized on one axis.
Active servo stabilized imagery is shown at BrownstoneBeam.com in the "Brownstone Sidewalk" and "SHORT explained" movies at that site. "Brownstone Sidewalk" was the first try at active stabilizer mode, giving striking results in very little time with minimal effort or attention to the gear. Turn it on, pick it up, use it.
Versatile and mobile, all hand held.
The FP3 may be held in any position in space and moved through any orientation during a shot. This includes 360+ degrees of lateral boom angle, 360+ vertical boom angle, or 360+ roll angle, limited only by the scene space and/or the operator's grip and physique. The device basically "doesn't know what orientation it is being held in, and doesn't care."
Unlimited shooting orientation. Believe it.
This is the age we now live in: full space pan/tilt/roll moves from unlimited shooting orientation, vertical camera, broad payload range, all combined within a stable hand held platform.
SHORT. The hand held camera positioner.
Thanks for your interest,
Mr. Harris.
